Kornel Kohalmi

Kornel is a seasoned student-athlete at Texas Christian University, where he is entering his senior year as a Division I swimmer and International Economics major. Originally from Budapest, Hungary, he brings over 16 years of competitive experience and has represented Hungary at the Junior European Championships in Rome.

At TCU, Kornel ranks in the program’s all-time top 10 for both the 1650 freestyle and 500 freestyle—an achievement that speaks to his work ethic, discipline, and mastery of long-distance racing.

Kornel’s coaching journey began in 2022 at his home club in Budapest, where he worked with children aged 8 to 10. There, he helped young swimmers build essential skillsand water confidence in a fun, structured, and encouraging environment.
 

Passionate about the sport and dedicated to sharing his knowledge, Kornel is committed to helping young athletes growboth in and out of the water.
